Curious Minds 0-7

Research consistently demonstrates that the early years of life are foundational for language development, cognitive flexibility, executive functioning, and social communication. During this period of heightened neuroplasticity, children develop the underlying skills that shape how they think, communicate, learn, and engage with the world.

Curious Minds intentionally focuses on children ages 0–7 to provide developmentally informed support during this uniquely important period of growth

Parent coaching is an important part of the Curious Minds approach. Through collaborative guidance and individualized strategies, parents are supported in understanding how everyday interactions, play, routines, and communication experiences contribute to language, executive functioning, problem-solving, and cognitive development during the early years.

Our goal is to empower families with practical tools and developmentally informed strategies that nurture curiosity, communication, and learning naturally within daily life.

Infant Program

Ages 0–12 Months

During infancy, children begin forming the foundational schemas that support how they understand patterns, relationships, movement, communication, and the world around them. Through intentional, relationship-based interaction, infants are supported in developing early neural pathways connected to language, executive functioning, curiosity, and learning.

Sessions emphasize:

✦ responsive interaction

✦ sensory and relational engagement

✦ attention and joint attention

✦ early communication foundations

✦ exploration and schema development

✦ early problem-solving through movement and play

✦ language-rich routines

✦ emotional connection and regulation foundations

Toddler Program

Ages 12–24 Months

Toddlers actively construct understanding through repeated patterns of exploration known as schemas — including transporting, rotation, trajectory, enclosure, positioning, and transformation. These early learning patterns provide the foundation for problem-solving, reasoning, language development, and flexible thinking.

Sessions may focus on:

✦ expressive and receptive language development

✦ symbolic play and imagination

✦ cognitive flexibility

✦ executive functioning foundations

✦ schema-based exploration and learning

✦ early problem-solving

✦ self-regulation foundations

✦ social communication

✦ curiosity-driven exploration

Preschool Program

Ages 2–4 Years

As children grow, early schemas become increasingly sophisticated and support the development of critical thinking, symbolic reasoning, narrative language, problem-solving, creativity, and flexible thinking. Through individualized, curiosity-driven learning experiences, children are encouraged to deepen communication, executive functioning, independence, and cognitive confidence.

Sessions may include:

✦ language-rich learning experiences

✦ critical thinking and reasoning

✦ executive functioning development

✦ schema-based exploration and inquiry

✦ problem-solving and flexible thinking

✦ early literacy and narrative development

✦ social communication

✦ emotional regulation

✦ imaginative and symbolic play

All children receive an individualized developmental assessment. Assessment results help guide individualized services, activities, and recommendations tailored to each child’s unique strengths and developmental needs.
